Dear FES families,

We are kicking off the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge! Get ready to change and save lives! Sign up today and earn your wristband!

Through Finn’s Mission, you’ll learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR and how to recognize a stroke. Here are the next steps to take today and be one of the first to complete your mission:

1. Sign Up at http://www2.heart.org/goto/federalsburgES and download the free “AHA Schools” app.
2. Raise funds to help kids with special hearts and start earning thank-you gifts.
3. Complete Finn’s Mission: Learn Hands-Only CPR, earn your lifesavers cape and be entered to win two Super Bowl tickets!

Now is the time to join our team! We need your help to reach our goal!
If 50% of our families sign up our school will earn a $500 gift certificate for physical activity and recess equipment to support the health of our school community. I can’t wait to see our school create a community of lifesavers this year.

The Parks & Rec after school program at FES has been cancelled for today.

Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, all schools will be operating on a two hour delay. 

Please NOTE: Families within the town limits of Ridgely and Hillsboro - Transportation is currently working to reroute some bus stops in these two areas. Please expect a call this evening from your bus driver or the department with information on temporary bus stop locations. Thank you for your patience.

All schools will be closed on Thursday, January 29. All offices will open at 10:00 am for 12 month employees. Please be safe in your travels.
