North Caroline High School -

In Mr. Buffenmyer’s U.S. History class, students took on the challenge of designing their ideal neighborhood—a project that emphasized consensus building, compromise, and communication. Using lessons from their Urbanization and Progressive Era units, teams worked together to create communities that met everyone’s needs.

One student shared, “I didn’t get my dream neighborhood, but as a team, we created a place we’d all be happy to live in.”

Projects like these not only deepen understanding of U.S. History, but also help our Bulldogs build the collaboration and civic skills they’ll carry into the future. 💪🐾

Students in Ms. Larkin’s Principles of Biomedical Sciences class were fully engaged in their lesson today! One group examined lamb hearts and investigated what had happened based on how they were presented—they are true medical detectives! 🩺🔬

🔥🎉 SPIRIT WEEK is coming in hot at NCHS! We kicked off Homecoming Week with the Battle of the Classes, where each grade repped their class color and showed off their Bulldog pride. 💙🐾

🎉🏆 Homecoming Week is in full swing! Last night, Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors battled it out for the Homecoming Class Competition Title.

It was a close race all the way to the end, but the Seniors pulled off the win with a sweet victory in the pie-eating contest! 🥧👏

🏑🎉 Big Bulldog congratulations to our Field Hockey team on their 13–0 win over Seaford! 💙🐾 After the game, the girls celebrated with some well-deserved team bonding—a jigsaw puzzle competition! 🧩✨

Ms. Baker and Ms. Marshall’s students had the special treat of welcoming some of Mrs. Bradner’s Spanish IV students to read bilingual books aloud! 📚✨ The stories were in both English and Spanish, and our students were fully engaged, enjoying every moment of listening to the stories. 💙🐾

NCHS Families: Please be aware that due to a traffic accident at River Road and Rt. 404, all buses are delayed entering and exiting North Caroline High School, which will cause a delay in the routes. We have been advised that no NCHS students are involved in the accident.

Ms. Slaughter’s students put their math skills to the test today by solving equations to find the x- and y-intercepts! Working with partners, they solved each task card and then matched it to the correct graph in a scavenger hunt. 🧩📈✏️

All students were engaged and building meaningful classroom discourse. Nothing is better than making learning fun—because engagement equals retention! 💡👏

Tomorrow is our home varsity football opener, and we’re excited to show off the newly soded field to our community. We take pride in The Ridge and want it to look its best!

Hey Bulldogs—don’t forget the student section theme tomorrow night is Western! Break out your boots, cowboy hats, and all things denim. 🤠💙

Important reminders for students:

You must be present in school tomorrow and obtain a wristband in order to be eligible to buy a ticket for the football game.

Students on principal probation will not be permitted to purchase a ticket.
