The cosmetology program installed pink hair extensions during lunches at CRHS and NCHS over the past two weeks, in an effort to raise awareness and funds to support breast cancer research and survivors. We would like to thank the staff and students at both schools for their continued support.
Talbot County students will be installing extensions this week on Wednesday October 16th during lunchtime at Easton High School.

September is Recovery Month. SAMHSA, The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration encourages focus on 4 major areas of recovery: HEALTH, HOME, PURPOSE, and COMMUNITY. These are the factors that all people need to live healthy, happy, independent lives and reach their full potential.
Today, the focus is HEALTH - to highlight the importance of wellbeing to substance use recovery. We can strive to be healthier and achieve our wellness goals by focusing on the following key goals:
1) We can overcome challenges related to mental health and substance use conditions
2) It is OK to reach out for help with substance use and mental health conditions
3) Making informed healthy choices can support our wellbeing
4) It's OK and important to reach out for help, especially if addiction or mental health conditions are affecting our relationships, school, or day-to-day life.
If you would like more information or need help, please talk to your school counselor or other trusted adult.

Students in Mrs. Wright’s cosmetology class are “rockin it”! Each student had to pass a practical skills assessment before they were permitted to begin their first haircut on their manikins. All students passed and are in the process of completing their first official haircut. Demonstrating safety and control of our industry tools is always our first priority. Congratulations to our junior cosmetology students! 🎀
