Attention Bulldog Community
As we prepare for tonight's NCHS vs. CRHS football game, please review the expectations for our student section. Let's show our Bulldog pride by creating a positive, safe, and spirited environment for everyone in attendance!
✅ DO: • Be respectful to everyone, including students, staff, officials, opposing teams, and spectators.
• Cheer loudly and positively for our Bulldog football team.
• Have fun and help create an exciting, school-spirited atmosphere.
• Support and encourage your fellow Bulldogs throughout the game.
❌ DO NOT: • Throw anything under any circumstances.
• Bring or use silly string.
• Bring or use celebratory items or decorations in hard containers.
• Put your hands on others, including horseplay of any kind.
• Use inappropriate language, gestures, or behavior.
📢 As a reminder, middle school-aged students are not permitted into the stadium without an adult present to supervise them. That adult must remain at the game for its entirety and may not be a high school student.
Let's pack the stands, support our Bulldogs, and represent NCHS with class, sportsmanship, and pride!
Failure to comply with these expectations may result in removal from the game

Members of the Spanish Honor Society created a beautiful and meaningful ofrenda to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away.
Through this cherished Día de los Muertos tradition, students celebrate the lives of those who came before us, reflect on treasured memories, and recognize the importance of keeping their spirits alive in our hearts. The display serves as a thoughtful reminder of the power of family, culture, and remembrance.

Students in Dr. Moyer’s AP Physics class recently wrapped up Unit 1 by investigating two-dimensional motion through a series of hands-on labs.
In one activity, students calculated where a Hot Wheels car would land after traveling down a ramp, then tested their predictions by trying to land the car in a small cup. In a follow-up lab, students launched foam projectiles at a variety of angles to explore how launch angle impacts distance traveled.
These engaging experiments allowed students to apply physics concepts, make predictions, analyze results, and see the principles of motion come to life through real-world investigation.

Students in AP Chemistry recently experienced column chromatography for the first time! After learning about this important laboratory technique in class last week, students put their knowledge into practice by using chromatography to separate the different colored dyes found in grape Kool-Aid.
This hands-on investigation gave students a chance to explore a widely used research method for separating mixtures while connecting classroom concepts to real-world scientific applications. Learning comes to life when students can see chemistry in action!

📚 Classroom Spotlight: Student Teachers Take the Lead in AP Literature! 📖✨
Today, students in Ms. Sullivan’s AP Literature class traded their desks for the front of the room as they stepped into the role of teacher. Working in teams, students created and delivered engaging presentations on the elements of prose, complete with warm-ups, guided notes, literary examples, and student handouts.
Their creativity, preparation, and collaboration made for an interactive and meaningful learning experience. One group even wrapped up their lesson with a sing-along! 🎵
It was a great day of student-led learning, critical thinking, and collaboration as students took ownership of their learning and shared their knowledge with their peers.

Students in Ms. Butler’s Rhythm of the Ridge are strengthening their performance skills by performing self-selected solos. This opportunity allows students to showcase their individual musical styles while receiving personalized feedback from Ms. Butler and their peers.
It has been exciting to watch their growth throughout the semester as they continue to build confidence and develop as performers.
Join us on November 12 at 6:00 PM in the auditorium for our Veterans Day celebration and your first chance to hear these talented Bulldogs perform!

🐾 Happy Birthday to the One and Only Mr. Spiker! 🎉🎂🐾
Today we celebrate someone who is so much more than a principal. Mr. Spiker is truly the biggest supporter of The Ridge. From his daily walks through the halls, to conversations with students and staff, to community connections, to the long evenings and early mornings, nobody shows up more consistently for our school than he does.
His dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment help make NCHS the special place it is. Today, we had the opportunity to show up for him and celebrate all that he does for our Bulldog family.
Enjoy your day filled with balloons, great food, and the appreciation of a community that is grateful for everything you do.
Happy Birthday to the heart of The Ridge! 💙🐾
