We'll be operating on a two hour delayed opening on Monday, January 13 due to current road conditions and predicted overnight temperatures. If this status changes in the morning, all families and staff will be notified no later than 5:45 am.
All schools will be closed again tomorrow, Friday, January 10. Offices will open at 10:00 am. This decision is based on the continued deterioration of road conditions as a result of frigid temperatures and high winds causing snow drifts. We appreciate the long and stressful hours that state, county, and town employees are working in order to clear the roads. Despite their very best efforts, the high winds and frigid temperatures continue to create significant challenges in making roads safe for school bus travel.

The Teacher Academy of MD at NCHS created cork Christmas Trees for the residents at the Caroline Nursing home so that each of them could have some cheer in their own rooms!

Wednesday, November 13th was an unforgettable day here at NCHS! We celebrated On-Site Admissions Day with Salisbury University, and wow, was it exciting! 35 of our incredible seniors received immediate admission decisions to Salisbury, right on the spot! 🎓🌟
We’re so proud of each one of you for your hard work and determination. This is just the beginning of your amazing journey. Let's hear it for our seniors! Go Bulldogs! 🐾
Our Bulldog Staff hopped on the newest TikTok trend and had an Underground Spirit Week. It was top secret! So our students were confused and the staff had a blast! Thank you to Ms. Sullivan for coordinating this. WE ARE BULLDOGS!

Caroline Families: We have been advised that construction on River Road is ending, and it will reopen by Friday afternoon, October 25. At that time, we will resume our normal bus routes. Please be prepared that pick up and drop off times may vary by as much as 15 minutes as we make this transition.
We appreciate the assistance, collaboration and communication from our partners, the Caroline County Commissioners, Sheriff’s Office and Public Works, and MDOT as this important project was completed.
Another Youth Apprenticeship signed! NCHS Senior Kyren Hawkins recently signed a Youth Apprenticeship contract with Justin Smith, President of Midshore Technology Services in Denton. Kyren is a in the Computer Science Program of Study Cybersecurity class in the Project Lead the Way Program with teacher Chrissie Yoxall. The apprenticeship will expand on Kyren’s current knowledge and provide on-the-job training in the business world.
YA Fun Fact: This is the second contact Midshore has entered into. First apprentice Christopher Ireland graduated in 2023, began his career with Midshore, and will now be Kyren's mentor 😁 That's #CarolineFamily.

Tomorrow night! Join us for a free Caroline Community event, the Spooktacular Fall Fest! October 22 from 6:00-8:00 pm at NCHS. We'll have crafts and games, safe trick or treating, food truck, a corn maze and petting zoo, and student run activities. We hope to see you there!
