Students in Dr. Moyer’s physics classes at North Caroline High School have been studying the force of friction by investigating the sport of tractor pulling. As part of the investigation, students were able to experience tractor pulling using a pedal tractor version where they could feel how the force of friction increased as their tractor pulled the sled across the parking lot. Thanks to Hoober, Inc Tractors in Seaford, DE for the use of the pedal tractor pull apparatus and Mrs. Bradley for facilitating the partnership.
